What we believe.

  • We believe the Bible, both old and new testaments, are the infallible and inspired word of God, revealed to men to write every word of scripture as the Spirit of God moved them. It is the final authority in determining all doctrinal truths.

    2 Tim. 3:16, 2 Pet. 1:20-21, Heb 4:12, Rom 16:25-26

  • (1 JOHN 5:7) - We believe there is one true, living, eternal and almighty God. He has revealed Himself as the Father in Isaiah 9:6; I Cor 8:6; Gen 1:26, the Son in Luke 1:35; Col 2:9; 1 Tim 2:5; 2 Cor 5:19; Isaiah 9:6; Rev 1:8 and the Holy Spirit in Gen 1:2; Joel 2:28; Mt. 3:11,16 and 17; Eph 4:30 for the salvation of all mankind.

  • We believe that Jesus Christ is God the Son, on earth. He was completely God and completely man. (John 1:1) He is the only plan for bringing all people who are far from God back into a right relationship with God. (2Cor 5:19) The Son of God is the only hope for the world. The man Christ Jesus is the mediator between God and man.

    1Tim 2:5, Is. 7:14, John 1:1, 2Cor 5:19, 1Tim 2:5, Mt. 12:21

  • We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit for believers that was first given at pentecost. A promise of the Father given to empower the church and believers. Since Pentecost, it is evidenced by speaking in other tongues as the Spirit leads. The Holy Spirit guides believers in truth, convicts them of sin, comforts them, gives spiritual gifts and makes them more like Christ.

    Gen 1:2, Ps. 51:11, Is. 61:1-3, Joel 2:28, Mk. 1:10, Acts 1:8, Eph. 1:13-14

  • We believe that the believer is to be baptized, by immersion in water, as commanded by the word of God. According to Acts 2:38, Acts 10:48 and Acts 19:5, the believer is to be baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ this fulfilling Mt. 28:19.

  • We believe our salvation or redemption is only by the shed blood of our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross. Salvation occurs, through grace, when people place their faith in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. Salvation is a gift from God not a result of our good works or efforts.

    Is. 53:5-6, Mt. 27:22-Mt. 28:6, Acts 4:12, Acts 16:30-31, Gal. 2:16-20, Rom 5:12-21, Heb 9:24-28

  • We believe the church, collectively, is the body of Christ. The church works together in love and unity, intent on glorifying Christ. Every person who is born of the Spirit is an integral part of the church as a member of the body of believers. Local churches throughout the world make up the membered body of Christ. There is spiritual unity of all believers through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

    Mt. 16:18-19, Acts 2:41-47, Eph. 1:22-23, Col. 1:18-23, 1Pt. 5:1-4, Rev. 21:2-3

  • We believe God created man to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or eternally together with God in union through forgiveness and salvation. Hell is where those eternally separated from God will exist. Those who are in union with Him will be eternally in Heaven. Both Heaven and hell are places of eternal existence.

    John 3:16 and 36, Rom. 6:23, 1John 2:25, 1John 5:11-13, Rev. 20:15
